Description:

Produced from 1922 into the 1950s, the Chief was Indian's main offering in the "heavy bike" category, and was Harley-Davidson's only domestic competition on that front. The overall color scheme is black with chrome trim, featuring the large and distinctive fender cowlings. Seat is upholstered in black and white leather with nickel accent plates, and the bike is fitted with a John Deere amperage gauge, Corbin speedometer, a set of Nation-Bilt handles and a side mounted Storz gear shifter. The chrome Indian front fender decal is detached but included.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with the period re- paint, showing mild wear and patches of rust. The amperage gauge glass is cracked, and the right rear brakelight is absent. Mechanically untested. As is!
