Description:

In the 1960s, entrepreneur Floyd Clymer began using the Indian name without purchasing the trademark from the original holder. Clymer attached the Indian name to imported motorcycles commissioned to Italian engineer Leopoldo Tartarini, owner of Italjet Moto. This is an example of one of those Minarelli-engined 50 cc minibikes under the Indian name. The bike is painted a silver-gray with blue double line pinstripe detail. The sides of the gas tank have a blue "Indian" decal, with "Indian" again appearing on the back of the seat. The front fork has a "MADE IN ITALY" decal with the number "6 [star] 10217" stamped vertically. Front and rear knob drum breaks (2.50x10) with chrome spikes.

Rating Definition:

Good with needing work. Metal surfaces show oxidation. The seat is missing some material and has become detached with the bolt missing. The gas tank cap and kick start are missing. The forks are bent and shocks broken. Mechanically and electrically untested. A good garage project. As is!
