Built from 1911 to 1946. Single bead sight on a solid matte barrel rib, extractor, double triggers, automatic tang safety, and choked extra full/improved modified. Right barrel is marked "SPECIAL ALLOY---FORGED STEEL" and the Savage address is marked on the left barrel, with "STERLINGWORTH" on the sides of the casehardened and border engraved action. Checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with grip cap and serrated buttplate. Length of pull is 14 inches.

Excellent. The barrels retain over 90% original blue finish with some minor thinning and overall light spotting. The trigger guard retains most of the original thinning blue finish with a mix of blue and smooth gray patina on the tang. The action retains 50% original case colors mixed with a smooth silver gray patina. The wood is excellent with a few minor handling marks. The checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent.
