Manufactured from 1911 to 1946. 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked improved cylinder/improved cylinder with an extractor. Barrels are stamped with the Savage Arms address and "SPECIAL ALLOY---FORGED STEEL", with "FOX STERLINGWORTH" marked on both sides of the casehardened and zigzag border engraved action. Double triggers and automatic tang safety. Checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with grip cap and serrated buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches.

Very fine. The barrel retain 90% original blue finish with some minor thinning and handling marks. The action retains 60% original case colors with the balance a smooth gray patina. The wood has been freshened with a coat of varnish and remains excellent a few barely noticeable handling marks with sharp checkering. Mechanically fine.
