Manufactured circa 1857 to 1860. The top of the barrel rib is marked with the one line address, the cylinder is marked with the patent date and the serial number is marked on the butt. The butt features a period nonprofessional "MFA" inscription. Blade front, notch rear sights, blue barrel and cylinder, and silver plated brass frame and fitted with smooth rosewood grips.

Rating Definition:

Good. The barrel and cylinder have a grayish brown patina with a few minor dings and dents on the barrel and some minor pitting on the cylinder. The frame retains 85% original silver plating with an aged patina on the exposed brass. The grips are very good with a few minor chips and wear on the lower edges and overall a few minor dings and dents. There is some slight play in the barrel hinge, otherwise the mechanics are very good.
