Designed for use against gophers and other burrowing animals, the gun is set into a gopher hole, and discharges a .38 caliber blank cartridge directly into the animal's underside, often crippling or killing it. Brass frame, 6 1/2" long, marked "PAT. OCT. 17-22" ahead of the brass trip plate, with a steel barrel with solid end and vent hole on top, exposed steel striker and sear.

Good, with an attractive mixed patina on the brass and mild handling marks. Steel components show a brown patina and moderate pitting, mostly on the barrel. Mechanically good.
