Manufactured in 1893 and chambered for the rarely seen .38 Express caliber. The heavy weight #3 barrel is equipped with a combination front sight and a three leaf folding rear sight. The top of the barrel has the two line address ahead of the rear sight and "38 EX." at the breech. Equipped with a tang peep sight. The lower tang is marked with the 1879 patent date and serial number. Blued barrel with remaining surfaces casehardened. Smooth Schnabel forearm with ebony insert and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.

Very fine. The barrel retains 95% original blue finish. The receiver and lever retain 75% original case colors. There is a minor chip missing on the forearm near the receiver, otherwise the wood is very fine with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
