Description:

Manufactured circa 1891. Blade front sight and buckhorn rear sights on a heavy weight #1 barrel marked with the two line address and marked "32 W.C.F." at the breech. The lower tang has the 1879 patent date marking and the serial number. Blue barrel with remaining surfaces casehardened. Smooth Schnabel forearm with ebony insert and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrel retains 75% original blue finish thinning to a brown. The receiver and lever retain 70% original case colors. The buttplate has a mixed patina. There is some minor spotting and pitting. The wood is also very fine with some minor dings and scratches (more numerous on the forearm), along with a minor gouge on the wrist.
