Description:

Manufactured from 1857 to the late 1860s, this Warner Patent revolver is a Second Model, Second variation chambered for 31 caliber percussion. The Warner Pocket Model was the most popular and best selling firearm of the time. The cylinder is marked "WARNER'S PATENT 1857" and the serial number appears on the butt. The cylinder and frame are lightly engraved. Brass post front and hammer notch rear sights and fitted with two piece smooth walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Fine as period refinished. The metal surfaces have a smooth grayish patina, a bit darker on the cylinder with some light pitting. The grips are very good with almost all of the original finish and scattered overall minor dents, nicks and dings. The markings and engraving are clear, partially obscured by the pitting on the cylinder. The action is good.
