Description:

Manufactured in 1854. Top barrel flat has the two line New York address inside brackets with "COLTS / PATENT" on the left side of frame, "G" on left trigger guard shoulder and the stagecoach holdup scene on the cylinder. Matching numbers on barrel, frame, trigger guard, back strap, cylinder, loading lever, and wedge. Fitted with a one-piece varnished grip. This revolver and the other are similar in configuration and condition and made within the same year. They are roughly 1,000 numbers apart.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The barrel and cylinder have a mottled brown patina with some minor pitting on the barrel. Almost all of the cylinder scene remains. The loading lever and frame retain 30% silvered out original case colors with the balance a smooth dark patina. The brass retains 95% original silver plating. The grip is fine with some minor dings and scratches, with a few minor dents on the bottom.

Very good. The barrel and cylinder have a mottled brown patina with traces of original blue. Almost all of the cylinder scene remains. The loading lever and frame have a mottled gray patina. The brass 95% original silver plating. The grip is very good with most of the varnish remaining and some minor dings and scratches, along with a repaired chip on the right side near the frame.
