The complete matching serial is marked on the bottom of the barrel, trigger guard, frame and back strap, partial serial number "0608" on the arbor pin and cylinder and "20608" on the wedge. The loading lever is unmarked. The stagecoach holdup scene is roll engraved on the cylinder. Brass pin front and hammer notch rear sights, blue cylinder and barrel, casehardened frame and loading lever assembly, silver trigger guard and back strap, and fitted with a one piece smooth varnished walnut grip.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel retains 60% original blue finish with a number of dings and signs of cleaning around the wedge on the right side and some scratches on the left. The cylinder retains scattered original blue finish with a smooth gray patina on the balance and most of the scene visible. There are several long and deep scratches present between the cylinder notches running parallel to bore. The frame and loading lever retain 80% original case colors and there are traces of silver on the trigger guard. The brass has been polished and for the most part remains bright. There are a few dings on the butt. The grips are very fine with most of the original varnish, a few dings on the bottom, some lower edge wear and a few minor dings and dents. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is fine.
