Single bead sight, with "COGSWELL & HARRISON LTD. 168 PICCADILLY. LONDON." on the rib, light scroll engraving around the breech, modified and full chokes, ejectors and 2 3/4" chambers. The bottom under the forearm is numbered "2841", with Birmingham proofs, tonnage marks and "SLEEVED" stamps on the chambers. The frame and forearm are numbered 18000, with scroll engraving on the forearm hardware, trigger guard, break lever and frame, the latter marked "COGSWELL & HARRISON Ltd" on either side and floral designs on the screws. Checkered fancy walnut straight grip stock, with an inscription panel on the underside and a serrated horn buttplate. LOP 14 3/4". With a brown leather leg-of-mutton case.

Very fine as period refurbished, with 98% of the blue, showing mild scratches and dings, faint barrel markings, a bright spot ahead of the right chamber, and sub-surface pitting. 20% of the case colors remain on the frame, concentrated in the protected areas, with a smooth gray on the remainder. Stock is very fine as revarnished, with pressure dents and fine grain. Case is near new, with minor scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
