Made in 1956, the first year of production for the Second Generation Single Action Army. Fixed sights, with the one line address on top of the barrel and "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .38 SPECIAL" on the left side. The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three date patent markings just ahead of the uncircled Rampant Colt. Checkered two-piece grips with Rampant Colt imprints.

Excellent with 98% plus original blue finish, showing a bright gray patina on the left side of the muzzle and a few small scratches on the top of the back strap, mild edge wear, a number of small scratches around the cylinder and minimal handling marks. 98% original case colors. Grips are excellent with light scratches and handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
