Blade front and folding ladder rear sights, with the top of the chamber marked with the unaltered Imperial mum over the "3/ 8/ Type" markings, with the left side bearing the Series 25 mark, serial number, and arsenal mark. Smooth pistol grip stock, with sling swivels and a cupped buttplate, matching bolt. With a dust cover numbered "259" and a bayonet, 15 3/4" blade with upturned guard, smooth wood grips and metal sheath.

Excellent with 98% plus of the original blue, showing a soft smooth brown patina on the barrel bands. Stock is also excellent, with only a few mild pressure dents and scratches. Bayonet is very good and has spots of gray patina on the sheath. Mechanically excellent. An excellent Type 38 with intact mum and nearly all the finish.
