Fixed sight with "W. FOERSTER BERLIN" stamped behind the rear sight. The underside of barrel marked "67,49" with crown/R/G/U/ proofs. A high quality, finely executed scroll engraving is present on the lock plate and frame along with a game panel scene (lock plate has a hunting dog, right frame side has a wild boar, and left frame side has a deer). The scrollwork extends to the hammer, hammer safety, trigger guard, and underside break lever. Horn trigger guard extension, set trigger, raised cheekpiece, sling swivels, and checkered forearm and straight grip stock, and border engraved shotgun style steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel retains 60% faded original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina with some scattered minor spotting. The remaining metal surfaces retain 20% original case colors in the protected areas with the balance a smooth gray patina. There is a large chip missing on the forearm (right side), otherwise the wood is very fine with some very scattered minor handling marks and some scattered minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically fine.
