A) Stevens Hunter's Pet No. 34 Pocket Rifle with Matching Stock

Description:

Manufactured circa 1872 to 1900. Combination beach front and two leaf rear sights with the barrel having the two line Stevens A. & T. CO. address/patent date marking on the upper left flat, "22 SHORT OR LONG RIFLE" stamped upside down on the upper right flat, and the number "7" on the lower flat under the smooth walnut forearm. Barrel, stock mounting attachment, and both grips are numbered to the iron frame. Complete with a nickel plated shoulder stock numbered to the gun.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel retains 80% original blue finish thinning to a brown. The frame retains 95% frosted original nickel finish with some minor flaking. The forearm and grips are fine with most of the varnish remaining and some minor dings and scratches. The stock retains 90% original nickel finish with some minor flaking and light blistering.

Description:

Manufactured from 1896 to 1916. Globe front and folding ladder rear sights with a barrel marked with the two line Stevens A. & T. CO. address on the top flat. Barrel and stock attaching mount numbered to the frame. Complete with a nickel plated shoulder stock also numbered to the gun.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel retains 70% original blue finish with the balance between a smooth brown and gray patina with some minor pitting (mostly near the muzzle). The frame retains 97% original nickel finish with some very scattered minor flaking. The grips are very good with some scattered minor handing marks with a long sliver of wood missing from the right panel. The stock retains 95% original nickel finish with some deep pitting on the exposed metal.
