Manufactured circa 1896 to 1916. Combination beach front and semi-buckhorn rear sights on a barrel with the three line Stevens trademark information stamped upside down on the upper right flat and "22.L.R." on the upper left flat. Casehardened type 44 1/2 action with double "O" marked front face, with the upper tang drilled and tapped for sight mounting and lower tang marked with the serial number and model number ("47"). Smooth forearm and pistol grip stock with Swiss style buttplate and full loop style lever. Barrel is numbered to the gun.

Very fine. The barrel retains 90% original blue finish with the balance a smooth plum patina with areas of gray. The breechblock, lever, and buttplate retain 80% of the original case colors. The wood is fine with most of the varnish remaining and numerous minor dings and scratches.
