Produced in the 1930s, magazines such as this were offered by the Peace Officer Equipment Company of St. Joseph, Missouri, for Remington's Model 8 and 81 semi-automatic rifles, providing a significant increase in firepower over the standard fixed 5-round magazines. Blue finish, with "10049" stamped on the right side of the front block and "Peace Officer Equipment Co./ St. Joseph Mo./ Patent No 2.081,235/ 35 CAL." on the left side of the main body.
