Description:

Sealed box of 44-100 caliber Evans centerfire cartridges manufactured by the Phoenix Metallic Cartridge Co, South Coventry Conn. End label reads "44-100 LONG / CENTRAL FIRE / FOR / EVANS' MAGAZINE RIFLE / MODEL OF 1877 / 26 SHOTS.", the Evans Rifle Manufacturing Co. warranted label on the front and back (English and Spanish) and the lid label reads "50 CARTRIDGES / 44 100 CALIBER EVANS / MANUFACTURED BY / PHOENIX METALLIC CARTRIDGE CO. / SOUTH COVENTRY / CONN.".

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The original seal remains, however the seal is very brittle and has come loose at one end. The box is also brittle and one of the lower edges has separated. Most all of the labels remain with minimal loss due to flaking. All lettering on the labels are clear. Writer has never seen one of these!
