Description:

Produced without sights, with "crown/ GR" and "crown/ scepters" stamps on the left side of the barrel, and a drum-style mount affixed to the touchhole. Lock is marked "TOWER" behind the fish head hammer, with "crown/ GR" and "crown/ broad arrow" ahead and the flash pan cut down to form a fence. Smooth stock, with brass furniture and a swivel ramrod.

Rating Definition:

Fair, with some mild pitting on the bright steel, concentrated on the lock plate, with some areas of discoloration and handling marks. Stock is fair as repaired, with patches of wood added in the area of the ramrod and near the tip, a crack opposite the lock, and scattered pressure dents. Hammer is slightly loose, otherwise mechanically very good.
