Gauge: 64
Barrel: 12 inch round
Finish: bright
Grip:
Stock: walnut

Description:

The barrel gauges at approximately .64 caliber with a 4" long section of a chiseled military motif at the breech followed by an illegible marker's marking which appears to be "P. Massin". The barrel has a brass blade front sight with an engraving at the muzzle. The chiseled military motif extends to the hammer, lock plate, side plate, upper tang, trigger guard, stock thumb shield, and buttcap. The chiseled motif was once highlighted in gold. The full length stock has all iron furniture and is carved around the upper tang and along the ramrod channel. Complete with a brass tipped wooden ramrod.

Rating Definition:

Fair. The metal surfaces have a mottled gray patina with extensive minor pitting. Scattered traces of gold remain on the chiseled pattern (strongest on the lock plate and thumb shield). The stock has been crudely repaired in the grip area and a few repairs on the forearm, otherwise the stock is fair with some minor dings and scratches and some chipping around the buttcap.
