A second proof ("MAS / DEU") is marked on the front of the frizzen. The face of the frizzen is grooved. The side plate, trigger guard, buttcap and two stock overlays are brass and feature engraving. A belt hook is mounted on the left side of the stock. The full length stock is raised relief carved around the upper tang and has a flared butt. Complete with a horn tipped wooden ramrod.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The iron surfaces have been cleaned bright at one time and are beginning to age again. There is some minor pitting on the barrel. The brass has a smooth aged patina. Ramrod is missing horn tip. There is a long crack on the underside of the forearm, otherwise the stock is also very good with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
