Produced in the 1930s, magazines such as this were offered by the Peace Officer Equipment Company of St. Joseph, Missouri for Remington's Model 8 and 81 semi-automatic rifles, providing a significant increase in firepower over the standard fixed 5-round magazines. Blue finish, with "MOD 81/ 35 REM" stamped on the front and "65852/ PEACE OFFICER EQUIPMENT Co./ ST. JOSEPH Mo./ PAT.PEND./ 15" on the left side. The "15" is repeated on the reverse.
