The relief Damascus barrel has a flared muzzle with the opening measuring approximately 1 3/4" and an extensive silver inlaid engraved pattern. The upper tang, hammer and lock plate have a light engraving with an unidentified marking on the lock plate. The chiseled brass buttplate, side plate, and trigger guard are silver plated. A saddle ring bar without a saddle ring is mounted to the side plate. Full length stock with a checkered wrist and carving on the underside of the buttstock. The stock also features an extensive gold wire inlaid pattern consisting of a vine and leaf motif and a line and dot border motif. The ramrod pipes are brass. Complete with a brass tipped bone ramrod. Most likely made for a Chieftain or other high ranking individual.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The elaborately inlaid barrel is very fine, retains most of the Damascus pattern and all of the silver inlay, with a smooth dark patina. The hammer and upper tang also have a smooth dark patina. The lock plate has a smooth gray patina with some pin point pitting. The silver is fine. The stock is also very fine with some scattered minor handling marks. Overall the checkering remains crisp. Most of the stock inlaid pattern remains.
