Shipped as a set on 4 February 1948, these pistols bear the factory ledger note (letter included) "Presented: to Mr. Brace Beemer" "By: Colt's Patent Firearms Co.", as well as listing "Mr. Brace Beemer/ "The Lone Ranger"" in the Shipped To field. An additional letter from M.S. Huber, Colt Historian is included, where he details the revolver as being a pre-War frame, names the supplier of the grips, and identifies himself as a fan of the Lone Ranger program. Born in 1902, Brace Beemer was a radio announcer and voice actor in Detroit, Michigan, who came on board with the Lone Ranger radio show in the 1930s, pulling double duty as the narrator for the program as well as portraying the Lone Ranger in public appearances. Following the loss of Earle Graser, Beemer took over the voice role of the Ranger, which he would hold for the remainder of the radio show's run, which closed out in 1954. Though an experienced actor, Beemer was passed over for the television show, due to lack of experience in the medium. Fixed blade front and notch rear sights, with one line Hartford address on top of the barrel and the left side marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45". The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt, with "968" on the loading gate and frame. Matching serial number on the bottom of the frame and right side of the front strap and back strap under the grips. Rampant Colt stamped on rear face of cylinder. This is a postwar feature. Includes Arvo Ojala black leather belt and two matching Colt marked holsters, with 19 nickel plated bullets marked "KEMOSABE" and 1 marked "ROY ROGERS". The belt is signed on the back "Made for Richard Beemer / Good Luck Good Shooting / Arvo Ojala".

Rating Definition:

Refinished. 99% of the blue and casehardened finish remains with some light wear at the muzzle, front strap, and by the trigger, with faint traces of a cylinder drag line. Markings are crisp and clear. The grips are excellent with some light handling marks. The leather belt and holster rig are very good, with light scratches and scuffs, and moderate wear.
