According to the included factory letter, this revolver was one of 5 shipped to the George Tritch Hardware Company of Denver, Colorado on January 31, 1901. The letter confirms the caliber, barrel length and finish, with the grips "Not Listed". Blade and notch sights, with the 2-line Hartford address on top and "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" roll stamped on the left, the two line/ two date patent marks on the left side of the frame next to the Rampant Colt, "318" on the loading gate. Grips are checkered hard rubber, with Rampant Colt imprints.

Fine, with 30% of the faded original blue remaining, showing a smooth gray patina overall with areas of spotting and mild handling marks. Traces of case colors remain on the frame in protected areas, silvering overall with a small amount of pitting on the hammer. Grips are very good, with pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
