The top of the receiver is marked "Mod. 98" over byf 45". There is a "eagle / 135" proof on the top and right side of the receiver and Nazi firing proof and serial number on the left side. The bolt assembly is numbered to the gun. The barrel has an eagle firing proof, and eagle/135 proof, and the number "892" stamped at the breech. Hooded raised ramp front sight and adjustable rear tangent sight graduated to 2,000 meters, and correct late war stamped parts and cupped buttplate. The trigger guard is stamped "SW" and eagle/135 proof. The floor plate is stamped "byf" and eagle/135 proof. Blue with phosphate rear barrel band and trigger guard. The stock has no visible markings. Complete with cleaning rod and leather sling.

Excellent. The rifle retains 95% original blue finish showing some thinning to a brown patina. There is some minor pitting (mostly on the barrel and buttplate). The wood is also excellent with a few minor dings and a hairline crack on the upper hand guard ahead of the rear barrel band.
