Produced in 1945 by Remington-Rand, and later overhauled at Springfield Arsenal with a custom fit Colt slide and National Match components. Serrated Patridge front sight and adjustable U.S. marked Elliason rear sight, with "NM7791435" on the left side of the slide, the Colt address on the right and the last four digits of the serial number under the firing pin stop. The frame is marked with the "FJA" Atwood inspector mark on the left side and standard markings on the right, with the addition of "T/ T" around the magazine catch, "NM" on the trigger guard bow, and a pair of "SA" stamps below the model marking. Other features include the "7267718/ N M" marked hand numbered bushing, adjustable long aluminum trigger, "45 AUTO/ NM 7791414/ 2158862" marked Colt barrel, checkered front strap and checkered hardwood grips.

Near mint as arsenal upgraded to a National Match quality pistol, with 99% of the government parkerized finish, showing a few areas of mild wear and dark spots. Some of the original markings are faded, and the serial number was Arsenal restamped. A few tiny dents are present on the slide, possibly from hardness testing. Grips are excellent, with a few tiny spots of verdigris and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
