Single bead sight, with the solid rib marked "P. WEBLEY & SON, 78. SHAFTESBURY AVENUE, LONDON.", cylinder and full chokes, a band of floral engraving across the breech, ejectors and an assortment of marks on the 2 5/8" chambers, including "V" and "GP" crown proofs, "(scimitar)/ NP" nitro proofs, "2 1/2 CHOKE" and other stamps. The "V" is repeated on the water table, with a pair of "winged bullet" logos. The frame, lock plates, trigger guard and break lever are extensively tight English scroll and Rose Bouquet engraved, with "WEBLEY - PATENT" on the break lever and "SAFE" in gold on the upper tang. Fancy walnut checkered splinter forearm and straight grip stock with engraving on the forearm furniture, raised teardrop patterns behind the locks, an initial oval on the underside, and a contrasting horn extension with serrated naked butt. LOP 14 1/4". Extreme "CAST-OFF".

Very good as professionally refinished, with 98% of the high quality blue, showing some mild handling marks and edge wear. The frame and lock plates have taken on a smooth gray appearance, with traces of bright case colors in the protected areas. The stock is very good as repaired, with a filled in area on the comb just ahead of the extension, a pair of cracks behind the lock plates, recut checkering, light pressure dents and attractive grain. Mechanically very good.
