Produced without sights, with a drilled and tapped mounting point at the muzzle and a short mounting block 1/3 of the way up the heavy barrel, which is marked "300 WIN. MAG" on the left rear and decorated with a 1 3/4" wedge of scroll and punch dot engraving on the chamber. Similar engraving is present on the receiver, bolt knob and trigger guard, with standard markings, a serrated adjustable trigger and a second scope block on the rear of the receiver. Smooth pistol grip stock, with an accessory mounting rail on the underside of the free-floating beavertail forearm, raised comb with inlet for the bolt, serrated White Line recoil pad and a silver plaque on the right side of the buttstock inscribed "1966/ NATIONAL/ NRA SERVICE RIFLE/ CHAMPION".

Excellent, with 99% of the original blue finish, showing some light dings and handling marks overall, along with a heavier dent on the trigger guard. The stock is very good, with some minor chipping and dents, along with crazing of the varnish. Mechanically excellent.
