The top of the receiver and barrel are marked with the Winchester oval proof at the breech. The left side of the receiver is marked with the standard two line address/patent marking, Lyman Peep sight model markings on the upper tang and serial number on the lower tang. Mounted with a smooth nicely figured, semi-deluxe burl walnut Schnabel forearm with ebony insert and a smooth straight grip stock with a steel crescent buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrel retains 90% original blue finish with some minor muzzle wear and thinning, and a couple of areas of minor pitting that show signs of cleaning on the right side of the barrel near the muzzle. The receiver retains 50% original blue finish with scattered flaking and areas of smooth gray patina. The magazine retains 90% original finish and the lever shows 70% original finish. The buttplate has a mottled silver gray patina. The wood is also very fine with a very attractive burl grain, almost all of the original varnish and overall some scattered minor dings and scratches. All markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
