Excellent. The carbine retains 95% old re-arsenal / type blue finish on the receiver and bolt, with the receiver a smooth brown patina. There is some minor spotting (mostly on the buttplate). The dust cover retains over 97% original blue finish with limited minor pitting. The wood is excellent with some scattered minor dings and a couple dents.

This is an early type 30 rifle that was rebuilt as noted by the "00" serial number prefix. Inverted "V" front and ladder rear sights, with a clear mum and model marking on top of the receiver. The left receiver wall has the serial number and Koishikawa, Tokyo, marking. Mismatched bolt and bayonet lug. Hook safety, smooth stock with upper handguard, flat buttplate, and leather sling.

Very good. As Japanese Arsenal refurbished, with 90% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. There is extensive minor pitting on the chamber and barrel, with some scattered minor pitting on the remaining surfaces. The wood is very good with numerous minor dings, pressure dents, and scratches.
