Receiver ring marked "SIMSON & Co / SUHL / 1916" with three crown/letter proofs on right side and eagle proof on the right. Crown/letter proofs are stamped on other parts. Sling swivel on rear barrel band and buttstock.

Refinished. The rifle retains 90% of the blue finish remaining with the balance a smooth brown patina, with minor pitting on top of the receiver ring. The refinished wood is very good with a repair on the forearm (from the front to rear barrel band on the left side), some textured varnish and some minor dings, pressure dents, and scratches, with contrasting forearm.

Receiver ring marked "C.G. HAENEL / SUHL /1916" with three crown/letter proofs and arsenal rework crown/RC proof on right side and eagle proof on the right. Crown/letter proofs are stamped on other parts. Matching numbers on barrel, receiver, buttplate, bolt, bolt catch, front barrel band, follower, trigger guard, floor plate, stock, with safety and bolt shroud numbered to another gun. Pistol grip stock with one sling swivel remaining.

Very good. The rifle retains 40% blue finish with the balance a mottled brown patina with minor spotting on the barrel. The receiver has some minor pitting and receiver and bolt have been repolished, with extensive pitting on the buttplate. The wood is very good showing minor dings, pressure dents, and scratches overall from field use.
