This is an excellent example of a pre-war Walther HP / P-38. The left side of the slide has the Walther banner followed by the two line address/patent/caliber marking and "Mod. HP" and the right side has an "eagle/WaA 359" Nazi Army acceptance stamp, "eagle" firing proof, and an "eagle/359" Nazi Army acceptance stamp, along with an "eagle/N" commercial proof. An "eagle/N" proof is stamped on the left side of the barrel lug. Full serial number on barrel lug, slide, and frame. Ribbed grips and unmarked blue magazine.

The pistol retains over 98% high polish blue finish with some mild edge wear towards with muzzle. The grips are fine with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
