Left side of slide is marked "P.38" next to "byf / 43" along with a commercial "eagle/N" proof and the serial number and the right side has an "eagle/135" proof and a police "eagle/swastika L" proof. Approximately 1,400 P38 Police Pistols with the "eagle/L" proof and "byf/43" code were manufactured. Matching numbers on the slide, barrel lug and frame. The left side of the frame has an "eagle/135" proof and the left side of the locking lock has an "eagle/135" proof and "eagle/N" proof. Ribbed grips with lanyard staple on the lower left side and a "P.38v" marked magazine.

Arsenal/importer refurbished. The pistol retains 99% Armory dip blue finish with some minor thinning at the muzzle and a faint plum patina on the slide. There is some minor pitting. The grips are very good with numerous minor scratches (more prevalent on the right panel) and some minor dings.
