The left side of the rough forged receiver is marked "G43" followed by the serial number and "ac44" code indicating manufacture at the Walther plant, with two eagle proofs. The forged bolt carrier has the cocking knob on the left side and is numbered to the gun. The right rear side of the receiver has a scope mount mounted in dovetail and it is fitted with a cast scope mount with a ZF4 scope. The mount has a faint eagle/214 proof. The scope is marked "Gw ZF 4 dow / 10725" and has a rubber eyepiece. Hooded front and tangent rear sights. Smooth pistol grip stock numbered to gun with upper handguard and cupped buttplate with compartment. Complete with a 10 round detachable magazine.

Very good. The rifle retains 60% thin blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. There is some minor spotting on the buttplate. The freshened wood is fair with a large chunk of wood missing from the buttstock on both sides with a couple long minor cracks, and some minor dings and scratches. The scope mount is missing the pressure lever and the scope has hazy optics.
