Used by the U.S. Navy prior to World War I and adopted by the U.S. Army during World War I but not used in Europe and remained in Army inventory into World War II. Top of barrel is marked "MARK III-" followed by the two line Remington address. Brass frame with smooth grips. Left grip panel is stamped with a boxed "RA-P".

Very fine. The barrel retains 98% thinning original blue finish with some minor pin-prick pitting on the underside of the barrel. The frame has a smooth aged brass patina, matching frame and barrel. Grips are ill-fitting, otherwise very good with some minor dings, pressure dents, and scratches.

The top assembly of the barrel is marked "SIGNAL PISTOL MARK 5 R.F. SEDGLEY, INC 1944". Plastic/fiberglass frame with aluminum barrel and breech. With an eight digit alpha-numeric number located on the bottom of barrel, behind the breech, and right side of frame. The grip carries the "USN" monogram within a circle on both sides, along with checkering. Complete with a gray anodized canvas holster and cartridge belt.

Very fine. The barrel and frame 95% of the gray anodized finish with some minor thinning, some minor muzzle wear, and some minor scratches. There is an area of numerous scratches on the left side of the grip, otherwise fine with some minor handling marks. The holster rig is excellent.
