Description:

German silver blade front and notch rear sights, with "ARMY & NAVY C.S.L." on the barrel rib, "WEBLEY/ PATENTS" next to the winged bullet on the frame, and ""WG" ARMY MODEL" on the top strap. Grips are checkered, with a lanyard swivel on the butt and ""G.T. NEAME 7TH BUFFS". Information provided by the consignor identifies Neame as Captain Gerald Tassel Neame of the 7th Battalion of the Royal East Kent Regiment, AKA "The Old Buffs", who fell in battle on 1 July 1916, the opening day of the Battle of the Somme.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with a smooth, once cleaned, gray patina overall, showing some light spotting and handling marks. Grips are fair, with a chip absent from the left toe and repaired on the right. Mechanically excellent.
