This is an example of a WWII Nazi proofed Walther P38 pistol that was subsequently custom engraved in a Germanic style. The slide, top rear portion of the barrel, takedown and safety levers, parts of the frame and the front strap are engraved with a oak leaf and acorn design with a punch dot background. The only visible markings remaining on the pistol are the matching serial number on the left side of the frame and front of the barrel lug, and a Nazi "eagle/359" proofmark next to the frame serial number. The locking lug has the matching serial number and a Nazi firing proof on the left side and the "eagle/359" on the right side. Standard blade and notch sights, blue magazine with "eagle/359" proof on the spine, and fitted with ribbed brownish red Bakelite grips, with a lanyard loop on the lower left side. Complete in a wooden case with green lining.

Custom embellished with 90% blue finish remaining. There is some minor flaking on the barrel, high edge wear and thinning on the slide sides and front strap. The grips are very good with some minor scuffs and scratches. The engraving and remaining markings are clear. Mechanically excellent. The case is good.
