Description:

Made for a Colt percussion revolver, this Main & Winchester Slim Jim Holster features an open top and open toe and is made for the left side of the belt. The back of the holster above the belt loop is stamped with the maker marking. The belt loop is sewn and riveted. Charles Main and E. H. Winchester founded the legendary firm of Main & Winchester in 1849 to become the first saddle shop of significance on the West Coast. The company developed a reputation for hiring the finest craftsmen and adhering to rigid standards. In 1905 Main & Winchester consolidated with the other pioneer San Francisco firm L..D. Stone before ultimately merging into Keyston Bros. in 1912.

Rating Definition:

Good. The front of the holster has two slits at the top (possibly for a belt to make the holster for a right handed individual) and a hole above a filled repair near the toe. The top of the holster also has some moderate age cracking along with a few tears on the back. The body of the holster has some minor age cracking which is heavier on the belt loop. Overall the stitching is tight.
