Made in 1877 in the "Storekeeper" configuration, properly lacking the ejector assembly. Fixed sights, with the two line address on top and "COLT D.A. 38" in an etched panel on the left side. Nickel finished frame with three line patent dates, "389" assembly number and long knurled cylinder pin. Checkered one piece bird's head grips with Rampant Colt imprints.

Very fine with 75% plus of the nickel finish, showing areas of flaking, mild scuffs, scattered handling marks and frosting. The exposed steel shows a bright gray patina on the barrel and grip straps, with a rough brown on the frame. The polished cylinder is numbered to a different revolver. Grips are very fine, with a few light dents. Mechanically fine.
