The top of the barrel is marked "GAULOIS", with the crossed cannons, and arrow logo. There is a bead front sight. The top of the frame is marked "CAL./ 8m/m" over the chamber with the full company marking "MANUFACTURE FRANCAISE/ SAINT-ETIENNE" in a circle surrounding "ARMES / ET / CYCLES" at the rear and "No./ 3" on the dust cover. The frame and lower portion of the barrel are engraved with floral designs. The operating arm is casehardened, with a checkered hard rubber grip panel. The sliding dust cover and front of the frame are serrated. Complete with correct purse.

Fine. The pistol retains 40% original blue finish mixed with smooth gray patina. The operating arm retains 90% original bright case colors with some areas fading the brown. The grip panel is excellent with crisp checkering but is loose and slides up and down. The engraving is clear. The action is excellent. The purse is fair with heavy overall wear and three worn holes.
