Description:

The top of the receiver is dated 1916 and the toggle is marked "DWM". The right side of the barrel extension has the three "crown over Gothic letter" proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof, and the left side has the four digit serial number. The bottom of the barrel has the correct four digit serial number along with the letter suffix and the bore diameter of "8,83" and the top right rear is marked with the Imperial Eagle, which is also marked on the left side of the breechblock. The matching serial number is also marked on the front of the frame. Most of the small components have the partial serial number "25" marked on them, including the inside of each grip panel. Correctly marked "GESICHERT and GELADEN" on the safety and extractor respectively. Fixed sights, blue finish with straw colored small parts, blue magazine with wooden base numbered to another gun, (2180/b), and fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as partially refinished (side plate and small parts restrawed). The balance of pistol retains 90% plus original blue finish with some high edge wear, some thinning and spotting on the barrel. Almost all of the refurbished straw color remains on the small components. The grips are also excellent with a few minor dings and handling marks, with crisp checkering. The markings remain clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
