Description:

Identical in appearance to the Kerr revolver, this particular revolver has been converted from percussion to cartridge, and is chambered for the 44CF cartridge, The original ramrod slot has been mostly filled, a spring loaded loading gate has been added to the right recoil shield and a spring loaded ejector rod has been mounted on the right side of the barrel lug. There are no maker's markings. The serial number is marked on the left side of the frame, an anchor "C" in an oval and a "V" are marked on the right side. The anchor "C" mark also appears on the cylinder, the inside of the trigger guard, on the hammer and on the top strap. The matching serial number is marked on the hammer and on the inside of the trigger guard, which is also marked "200". The bottom barrel flat is marked "1451". Brass post front sight, notch rear sight, and fitted with a one piece checkered walnut grips with a steel buttcap and lanyard ring.

Rating Definition:

Period refinished. The revolver retains 80% dull blue finish with areas of smooth brown patina and overall thinning. The cylinder has numerous minor dents. The grips are very good. There is a circle cut into the wood directly below the lock, otherwise there are some scattered minor dings and dents, with crisp checkering. The cylinder doesn't lock up, otherwise the action functions properly.
