This is a 1937 production Mauser P08 Luger pistol that is finished in the all blue configuration. The top of the chamber is dated "1937" and the front toggle has the wartime code of "S/42" for the Mauser factory at Oberndorf. The right side of the barrel extension has two early stick wing "eagle/63" Waffenamt proofs next to the single eagle firing proof. There is a "eagle/63" proof also marked on the left rear of the barrel and the firing proof on the right rear. Matching numbers including each grip panel. It has the standard extractor and safety markings. Rust blue finish on all the metal surfaces, correctly including the small parts and blue unmarked magazine with the aluminum base marked with a stick wing "eagle/65" proofmark. Fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% plus original blue finish with some minor muzzle wear, a small patch of minor pitting on the right side of the barrel, some wear on the upper left barrel extension and some thinning on the front and back straps, heaviest on the stock lug. The grips are also excellent with exception of chip under the safety lever. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
