Receiver is dated 1917, with matching numbers on receiver, bolt assembly, floor plate, barrel bands, and buttplate. The barrel has an importer marking and is threaded at the muzzle. Smooth straight grip stock with stock disc, sighting plaque, and leather sling. Matching numbers throughout.

Excellent as arsenal refurbished. The rifle retains 98% of the blue finish showing some thinning to a gray. The wood is very fine with a couple filled repairs and a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Left side of receiver has standard Ross marking over "PATENTED". Hooded blade front sight, rear sight calibrated to 2200 meter adjustable for windage and elevation. The stock has a Quebec cartouche next to several sets of unit markings (some have been lined out) and a contrasting upper handguard. Complete with a Ross bayonet with leather cover scabbard. The bayonet has the 1907 patent date and the scabbard has a U.S. ordnance bomb over "US".

Very fine. The rifle retains 85% original blue finish showing some thinning to a brown with loss at the muzzle and some smooth gray patina on the trigger guard and buttplate. The bolt retains 80% original case colors. The wood is excellent with some minor dings, pressure marks , and scratches. Mechanically fine. Bayonet and scabbard are both very good.
