Description:

This is a very fine example of the 1914 Military pattern, WWI Luger as used by all German forces. These pistols have an all rust blued finish with straw colored small parts. The top of the barrel extension is dated 1915 and the front toggle is marked "DWM". The right side of the barrel extension has the three "crown/ gothic letter" proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof. The Imperial Eagle proof is also marked on the top, rear section of the barrel, left side of the breechblock, right side of the barrel extension and front of the trigger guard. The upper safety position and extractor are correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN". It is fitted with the standard checkered walnut grips, has fixed sights, with the stock lug on the back strap. It is complete with the correct nickel plated magazine body with the unmarked wooden base.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 90% plus of the original blue finish overall with wear on the edges and high spots. The various small parts retain 40% of their straw colors except the trigger which has been restrawed. In several areas on the Luger overall, there is a very fine light rust just starting to form that needs to be addressed. The grips are in very fine plus condition with a nice dark brown matching color on the both sides with minor pressure dents, and dings on both the left and right side with even honest wear across the tops of the checkering. The visible numbers are all matching except the magazine.
