Description:

The top of the receiver is dated 1916 and the toggle is marked "DWM" for Deutsch Waffen Und Munitionsfabriken, the factory that produced this pistol. The right side of the barrel extension has the three "crown over Gothic letter" proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof, and the left side has the four digit serial number. The bottom of the barrel has the correct four digit serial number along with the letter suffix and the bore diameter of "8,82" and the top right rear is marked with the Imperial Eagle. Most of the small components have the partial serial number "12" marked on them. The front of the frame is marked with the serial number and it is correctly marked "GESICHERT and GELADEN" on the safety and extractor respectively. Fixed sights, blue finish with straw colored small parts, nickel magazine with wooden base (numbered 7280) and fitted with checkered walnut grips, each stamped "12" on the inside.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The pistol retains 97% original blue finish with some muzzle and high edge wear overall. There is some light surface rust present on the front strap and frame, and some minor dings on the left side of the frame and side plate. Straw colors remain 70% intact and are original. The grips are also excellent with some minor wear, a few tiny dings and very crisp checkering. The markings remain clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
