Dated 1938 on the chamber and marked "S/42" on the toggle, with "eagle/63" and "droop wing eagle" proofs on the right side of barrel extension and on the barrel, with the firing proof repeated on the breechblock. Safety position and extractor marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. Matching full or partial numbers on the pistol. Checkered walnut grips and matching blue magazine with aluminum base.

Excellent with exception of a small spot of cold blue on the left side of muzzle. The pistol retains 97% plus original blue finish on the balance showing some minor thinning (strongest on the grip/straps) and limited minor flaking. There is some minor pitting near the muzzle. There is a minor chip missing on the left grip panel near the thumb safety, otherwise the grips are very fine with a few minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
