Single bead sight, with a fine Damascus pattern on the barrels, light border engraved breech and the concave rib marked "HOLLAND & HOLLAND 98 NEW BOND STREET LONDON" and "WINNER OF ALL THE FIELD/ RIFLE TRIALS LONDON 1883". Rose themed floral and scroll engraving is present on the frame and lock plates, with "HOLLAND/ &/ HOLLAND" on each plate, "HOLLAND/ &/ HOLLAND/ No 23" on the break lever and "THE ROYAL / SAFETY / HAMMERLESS EJECTOR" on the underside. Checkered straight grip stock, with engraved hardware on the splinter forearm, raised teardrop designs at the locks, silver initial shield and a vented Red Head recoil pad. Cylinder chokes, 2 1/2 inch chambers, and 14" pull.

Very good, with half of the original brown finish on the barrels, showing a few areas of fading on the otherwise strong Damascus twist pattern. A bright gray patina is showing on the frame, with hints of color in the protected areas. The trigger guard has been repaired. Some light scratches and pressure dents are present on the stock, which has an excellent grain pattern. Mechanically excellent.
